I suffered from severe anxiety for years. Anxiety and depression. And I tried sooo many things. I have also been in the wellness field for years - over 20 in fact, studying counselling, nutrition, energy medicines, NLP, and even meditation. Here's what I would tell someone who suffers from severe anxiety or depression:
Summer gets very hot in some places. Where I am we can expect 33C for sure. So what can we do to be cool? And how to be cool on a budget?
If you watch Bill Murray re-runs while wearing shades, will that make you cool?
Now lets look at a few ways to be seriously cool, even when its hot:
"Prepare for the worst, but expect the best"
I keep getting this hit that carrying a modern medicine bag is a good idea. Maybe I was a medicine man in a previous life...
So I came up with some ideas. Below is some things that healers might carry, as well as anyone who values their ability to maintain a high level of self-care.
Of course it would be best customized to you. This is a bag you might carry on you, or have in your car...
One thing I would do if I had kiddos: read or listen to stories together that awaken values and virtues like empathy, compassion and kindness...like this audiobook (above/left) that I am looking forward to getting for my three nephews.
Advancements in technology have made it easier than ever to create a home-based biz. And with just 50% of the planet online (as of 2017), many fortunes are yet to be made.
However, if you're like me, you're part of the growing throng of humans that are attracted to working location independently... because you can:
A while back, I was thinking about getting a reiki initiation.
Then, out of nowhere, a mentor said to me: "Please don't get a reiki initiation. I know an older women who has cancer, is getting reiki, and it is hindering, not helping."
And then my teacher of 15 years said, "Reiki doesn't help, its just ego”.
Since then I have had several years to reflect on the question, "What is healing anyway?" And "Is reiki healing?"
Intuition is natural to all of us. Men have it and women have it too. It is a spontaneous inner knowing,
and it is your best friend.
Here in this article I will share some tips to increase your intuition, as well as illuminating some of the pitfalls that arise in working to live more intuitively.
"Don't create a business, create a mission, then build a business from your mission."
To make money, you need to serve someone. To make a lot of money, serve a lot of people, or serve a few high-paying people really well.
Find a need, and fill it. What do you notice is missing in the world?
Or that you could do better?
"Stop defining yourself to yourself and others. You won't become less, you will become more."
- Eckhart Tolle
My sister and I both grew up in North Vancouver, a very straight suburb of Vancouver populated by mostly middle and higher income families.
But when we spoke recently, she was calling from LA. And what she said to me was, "Everyone here is into astrology!! Its like the first thing they ask you! It's freaky..." She was definitely not impressed by this. My sister is in her 30's at the time of writing the this, and is a very capable young women. I wouldn't be impressed either. In this blog I'll go first into the positives of astrology, then the negatives.
I've put the most important ones at the top:
CBD Oil - by far the most important one on this list, which is why I have already written 2 blogs on CBD oil, and have another one coming! For some people, ALL they do is take CBD oil once or twice a day, and they see a great reduction in anxiety, pain, inflammation, and sometimes even their mood lifts (helps relieve depression, and sleep improves. Yes, really! Plus CBD has other benefits, like to the brain and in cancer-prevention. See my blog CBD: the Great Brain and Body Healer for more. In that blog you'll also learn how to choose a high quality CBD oil.
That said, we live in a world of choice. We are always either participating in Giving (higher nature, Love, selflessness), or taking (lower nature, fear, selfishness...astral illusion). Not just in our actions but also in our thoughts and emotions - our states of being.
And we evolve from lower to higher nature over many, many lifetimes.

Now and then, I might have a drink, I won't have a glass of alcohol in my hand all day. But that's what we're doing with sugar."
