![]() Sometimes it be hard to feel grateful for things as they are. And that's why I wrote this, because things ARE improving, like never before. Now is actually the best time to be alive in history! First let's look back just 150 years, to 1870. What was life like then? Well, for starters, there was no anaesthetic. Just imagine a trip to the dentist. But we did have vodka! And there was no contraception either. I have actually read about people using pig intestines. So back then, sex often led to babies, not a good situation if you were poor and had a high sex drive. And check out transportation: if you want to travel to the next town over, it might take 2 weeks... and your horse and carriage had no heat, no radio, was noisy...and you might get half way there and realize you have run out of water. Yikes. And that's just 150 years ago. If you go back further, it was even worse, with increasing superstition and paranoia the further back you go. Here's something I suggest: Google, "Life in 1850". It definitely worked for me! And Now, a Brief but Important Aside... I believe that the superconscious Mind of Creation overshadows the most important changes that we can make. God/Mind literally works through human beings, inspiring them to make the changes that will make the most difference to keep evolution moving forward. You'll notice that many of these changes mentioned below are Leaps Forward which are Transforming Society in ways no one could have anticipated. That is how Grace works. For example: the creation of computers and the i-net. That said, here's 8 Great Changes happening now, with just some of the far-reaching effects they will have: 1. Legalization of Cannabis and Discovery of CBD Immediate effects: people are already taking CBD oil (a medicinal compound from cannabis) for pain-relief, reducing anxiety, lowering blood sugar, and much more. It is a major health discovery, Unanticipated effects: millions off people are already off their highly addictive pain medications. Hemp also detoxifies the soil it grows in, can be made into 'hempcrete' which is far superior to concrete, and makes for durable clothing. And hemp grows twice as fast as cotton, and with much, much less water. Hemp also has a ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 oils that is ideal for the human body, and heres a big one: Sales of cannabis is raising MILLIONS of dollars for social programs, and cannabis opens the heart and mind - a very important benefit with far reaching effects. No wonder cannabis has been illegal for so long! 2. Robotic Cars Immediate effects: We stop driving into each other! Robotic cards will greatly reduce suffering while removing a great burden from the healthcare system. Unanticipated effects: free up many human hours, as transport of goods becomes automated. Imagine: your 'driving' from Vancouver to LA during the night, and sleeping the whole way there, since your car is doing the driving! All Tesla cars already have the ability to be autonomous, they are simply waiting for the laws to catch up. And, to my excitement, Tesla's most affordable car, the Model 3, is about to go into production! What this all means: in the future (not far away at all), everyone gets a chauffeur! 3. Affordable Solar Panels and Battery Technology Immediate effects: stopping or greatly slowing global warming, as we transition off fossil fuels and into solar for power. And get this: the time is coming soon when the solar panels on your home will also charge you vehicle. You will never pay for gas or electricity again! Unanticipated effects: places that don't have power, like much of Africa, may finally get power, while skipping the whole infrastructure usually needed (power cables, sub-stations, and so on). Solar and battery technology will also make for a new, cheap workforce of solar-powered robots, freeing millions of people from drudgery, and forcing us into a new relationship to money, and likely bringing the GLA (Guaranteed Living Allowance aka Mincome) into being, essentially ending poverty for millions of people. And I'm far from the only one making those projections... We are now laying down a foundation for the world that is to come. 3. The I-net, Making Information and Education More Available
Immediate effects: what used to take a few days (snail mail) now takes a few seconds. And through that, human progress has been greatly accelerated. Unanticipated effects: The global brain has woken up, so now we have the real possibility of global cooperation. We have Crowd-funding, Meetup groups, Uber, AirBnB - all are decentralizing industries and putting $$ in the hands of the average person. Education is also going online and in many cases, is free. Talk about one thing creating many changes! And as of today, Feb.2017, only 50% of the world is online. The i-net is really just getting started, and will definitely affect... 4. The Growth of Robotics Immediate effects: Robots are already building cars. Now surgery is also going robotic. The doctor controls the robotic arm, and the result is much less mistakes, and recovery time sometimes reduced by half. Robotics is moving rapidly into many other areas, too. Unanticipated effects: as many jobs become replaced by robots, the GLA (Guaranteed Living Allowance) may come into being by necessity, a huge change, opening the way to better health and greater creativity for millions of people as it replaces welfare, disability and many other social services, into a single, more adequate measure of support. Some people have reacted with fear to this idea of robots everywhere, but its important to understand that while it won't be perfect at first, every new technology was first met with with skepticism. Imagine what people said when someone suggested running electric wires through the walls of our home! But now it is standard and makes many things possible. 5. Health Coaches A new tier of health professionals are being trained, and they are already saving the day. Health coaches are the all-important bridge between your doctor and you, and between your present habits and the ones that will make you feel your best. Health coaches are literally your healthy life trainer - someone trained to help you build and maintain health. And this really works. And *teams* are also happening: health coaches and integrative medicine doctors are working together, and are delivering care via group visits, tele-medicine, and new membership models - like the "health club" model, where you pay once for the whole year. This is true preventive medicine that will greatly reduce medical system costs while also extending our health-spans and helping our culture transition to a truly healthy culture. 6. Functional Medicine (FM) Many believe that Functional Medicine is the new medical paradigm that will replace the current system of primary care. In plain English: FM is the future, and it's here now. And there is evidence for this: Doctors across the US and the world are rapidly getting trained in FM, by the thousands, because it works. Sometimes called 'biological systems medicine', FM integrates many of the most recent discoveries into a system of testing and protocols that helps you get healthy *before* you have a dis-ease. 7. Integrative Medicine (IM) Integrative medicine unites Western allopathic medicine with evidence-based holistic medicine. The first Integrative Medicine program was taught about 15 years ago, but today IM programs are being taught in many places. In IM, doctors are learning a curriculum of: 1) mind-body medicine, 2) life-style medicine, 3) nutritional medicine and 4) energy medicines. And they are being taught for the first time that the body is self-healing... 8. Brain-balancing Technologies We have put many health issues behind us. People no longer die of scurvy, for ex - it was a simple vitamin C deficiency. Well, here's the newest discovery: Brainwave Optimization. You literally relax in a chair, and 'listen' to the sound of your brain - and your brain auto-corrects, regaining its natural state of balance and calm - releasing much trauma. The result is that people sleep like they haven't in years, PTSD ends, digestion improves, and much more. Brainwave Optimization is one thing I really look forward to having done. It is transforming lives. Know of something that you think should be included here? Leave a comment!
