The Green Party has a form of it in their plan, and Elon Musk says it will likely be forced into being as robots take over more and more jobs and replace human workers. It's been called Universal Basic Income, Guaranteed Living Allowance, and Mincome.
It would go to everyone, but it would start by going to the under-waged. It means giving each person in Canada about $1400/mo, enough money to afford housing, food, clothes and medicine. And with no strings attached, and no obligation to seek work. It would replace welfare and disability with one new program, the GLA/UBI.
But some say "Everyone will become lazy!" and "Where will that money come from anyway?"
So have they all gone nuts? Or do they know something we don't?

I have been a meditator for 20 years, and it has been life changing for me. I started with guided journeys on audio-tape, but today I am part of a very dedicated meditation community.
To me, meditation should feel good. It is a time of relaxing, coming home to yourself, and allowing yourself to rest.
Here are my top tips for helping make meditation an enjoyable experience:
1. Keep it simple. Meditation is simple.
2. Give yourself a quiet space. Quiet really helps. If you don't have quiet, then consider headphones w sacred music, like OM's or mantra music or prayers that really open your heart.
Around 2005, I started having night-dreams telling me to go to San Francisco. This went on for maybe 2 months. This kind of thing wasn't entirely new to me. In fact, this was the second time I was guided to California.
