I believe we’re often growing more when alone.
The simple fact is: we are all healing, from a collective past of great suffering. And because of that fact - relationships can be tough.
Famine, poverty, even slavery, happened everywhere on earth, And especially many men today are healing, because men got sent to war.
So should we even be in relationship? How can we know if we are ready? How can we ensure that our next relationship isn't just endless drama?
75% of men watch porn, and 25% of women too
Average age of first exposure: 11
I know some people think that porn is healthy.
I recently watched the above video, and I found it shocking. In it, we hear from an ex porn star, whos life is now dedicated to helping women get out of the porn industry.
She reveal in this video that the porn industry is run by people who hate women. She explains that physical and verbal abuse are the norm (women are often slapped), and drugs like cocaine and alcohol attend most porn sets. She explains that many times a porn star is performing while high, and even though she said 'no anal', it happens anyway. And though they are promised that everyone is tested for STD's, they aren't.
They are A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle, Power vs Force - David Hawkins, Integrative Nutrition - Joshua Rosenthal, and anything by David Deida.
For a while I read so much that my body suffered. But what did come out of that is that I expanded my mind in numerous ways, enriched my vocab, and basically did brain-yoga pretty much daily. Brain-yoga is what I call it when a book is hard to understand, but you push through anyway, and it leaves you going, "WOW". Brain yoga, I've learned, is very good for us. So without further ado, here are some of the books that rocked my world:
You would think that sex in the 21st century, would be more...in the light. But the truth is, sex has only recently started to come out of the closet.
I wrote this mostly for healers, activists, and concerned people who want to understand better why our world is the way it is today. And we really can't do that without looking at sexuality in our world today, especially a HUGE problem that still goes on daily: the sexual abuse of children.
According FBI meta-data, 5% of religious leaders are sexual predators. Thats 1 in 20. This is mostly men, and they mostly abuse boys, but also girls. But why does this matter? Not just because of the suffering that is being caused, but because this is shaping culture. A boy of 5 who's first experience of sex is forced by man, is so traumatizing that it affects him for the rest of his life. And an abuser doesn't usually just prey on him once, but will abuse the same child for years. I explain more below.
