The Fabulous - a very well done, beautiful, guided health app. A woman's voice gets you drinking more water, eating a healthy breakfast, and even doing short meditations. Very impressive and points to what smartphones will become: health coaches that talk to you!
You Food - a cool food and exercise tracking app where you take pictures of your food, then upload them for other members of the community to see. Star your favourite meals or the ones of others that you want to try. Set goals (like 'Whole 30', or 'lose 10 lbs', or 'do 25 pushups a day'), and be cheered on by those with the same goal or who already achieved it.
Pulse - by LinkedIn. My present source of news. Customize your sources and save articles to read later, in whatever area your into: technology, health, world events...
Chromecast - buy the Chromecast dongle (used on Craigslist for $25, or new for $40), and you can then cast audio or video directly from your phone to a flat screen, as long as the flat screen has an HDMI input. Apps that will cast include You Tube, Netflix, Chrome browser, Rocket Player (above), Live Stream and others. Turns your flat screen into a movie player or stereo, where your handheld becomes the remote!
Rocket Player - I tried 4 audio players and this is my favourite. Works with Chromecast.
7 Minute - a 7 minute, voice-guided bodyweight work-out that gets me huffin' everytime.
Twilight - Like F.lux, but for Android. Warms and dims the screen in the evening.
Easy Voice Recorder - my app of choice for making voice notes. Great for catching insights when fresh out of meditation.
Keep - my favourite note-taking app. Much simpler than Evernote, great colors, and just enough functionality for me. I use this more than anything else on my phone!
Mint - for tracking finances. Set budgets, see your weekly and month spending, and get notifications.
Weebly - for users of this website builder. Allows me to edit my site from my phone, reply to blog comments and track metrics.
