In truth, technology isn't created by little egos. It comes in from higher Mind, and it is never expected.
Many years ago, for the first time, someone must have suggested running electricity through the wall of our house. And you can bet that immediately many people feared it, and fought it. And the story goes that Edison, in a ghastly public display, electrocuted an elephant in the town square, in order to scare people away from alternating current - which was being offered by his competitor, Nikola Tesla.
But that didn't stopped us from putting alternating current in ALL of our homes - and now we wouldn't live without it. Plus we got direct current from Edison.
So technologies purpose is to make our lives better. And this is really an unstoppable process. Tech isn't just random discoveries that "happen" to go on, and "happen" to move society forward. Even when humanity resists it - and we always resist it - new technology comes in, and makes our lives better.
And it is never expected: Da Vinci imagined intricate flying machines with wings and propellors, but he could not have foreseen jumbo jets carrying a hundred people, made of aluminum and steel, with powerful jet engines.
And you can be sure he never imagined us going to the moon.
So now, today, we can trust that wifi will get faster and faster, batteries will get smaller and smaller, and eventually robots will be building robots.
Cars will soon be self-driving, which qualifies as a robot in my mind.
More recently Tesla is saying that their cars, with their self-driving and "summon" abilities, will soon become a vast fleet of robot-taxis...if you have a Tesla, you will have to ability to opt in to that network, and you car will make $ for you while you sleep. Or hang at the beach. Or are at work... And he is saying they will even put Uber out of business.
So tech comes... it's not expected... and it changes everything. But the real surprise is where technology comes from: Our individual minds are part of a Higher Unified Mind, and that's where all inspired ideas come from.
Inspiration literally descends into our minds from the Higher Mind - which is a Unified Field that holds all of this together - and is very much moving it all forward.
So Jobs didn't actually 'invent' the computer in the way we think they did. Jobs more 'received' it as an inspiration, and then yes, he did the work to pull it together, and the work of bringing it to the world. And in fact, I am told that new inventions are usually 'invented' by five people, in five different places, at the same time. And they usually think they are the only ones doing it - they take it so personally.
In can you haven't heard: the idea for the computer came to Steve Jobs while high on LSD. One second it wasn't there, the next second it was. It appeared to him fully formed, and then he thought "My God, that could work!" Or some version of that...then he got busy putting it together...
So you could call this the "Universal Mind" or even the Mind or God or the Mind of Buddha. Whatever you call it, you are a part of it, and it inspires solutions to impossible problems, via innovation, and inspiration, into minds that are receptive.
So it is really divinely inspired innovation - via technology, that saves our butts.
In truth, there aren't powerful humans walking around who are sooo creative. There are gifted humans walking around who are very receptive.... and hard-working, and all the other qualities it takes to pull it off. We call them visionaries - because they see, how this technology or innovation will make a better world.
And it takes surprisingly few visionaries to to make amazing things happen, when the time is right.
So it is innovation, creativity, bringing into form what didn't exist before at all - that will clean up the oceans, that will deal with all the plastic, and that will bring electricity and communication to Africa, without wires!
Because Africa (South Africa I believe) hasn't had electricity. Which means no light at night...and no wifi, and definitely no Nintendo :-). But instead of getting a wired infrastructure like Canada or the US has, Africa will skip that step and go right to batteries and solar panels! Pretty cool, I think.
Right now we are laying down a foundation,
